Seriously wish there wasn't 4 things going on both Friday and Saturday night that I need to attend.

Come on, I'm a busy man too. I gotta balance naps, ripping vinyl, and going to 2 shows friday and I'm still gonna make it to this!

THIS IS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Gonna be a realllly heavy and deep show. Maybe not for the "troo-est metalheads". All the bands are going to be spectacular. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it. Musx Ox is coming down from Canada, Sequences from Belgium for his first show ever and Jeffrey from Vindensang is a super generous dude. /Rambling

This was awesome. Vindensang was one of the most intense sets I've ever seen, and with a surprise appearance from John Haughm from AGALLOCH!!
Sequences was 30 minutes of crushing/heavenly drone, going from one end of heaviness to the other.
Musk Ox was just charming and adorable. Very Ulver-ish instrumental folk

in the case of my wedding reception, yeah!!

This was a wonderful experience. Sequences didn't really grab me (I think that sort of thing is pretty hard to pull off in an engaging fashion live; I mean, dudebro didn't even stand up during the entire set, let alone, like, move, or engage the audience). Musk Ox was amazing, I've loved Nathaniel's music for awhile and he's an enchanting performer. Vindensang were a downright spectacle, and a wonderful one at that; the ritualistic elements reminded me of seeing Agalloch or Velnias. It was a shame that John's vocals were so damn inaudible, though - I was hoping that he'd be a bigger part of the performance.

Side note - Agalloch east coast tour, March 2011. Mark your calendars.
